The Victoria and Albert Museum has one of the finest collections of Islamic art in the world. This exhibition presents the highlights of the collection, treasures of Islamic art from the 8th to the 19th century. It features a six-meter-high minbar with exquisite ivory ornamentation and the famous “Chelsea carpet,” more than five and a half meters long, and includes more than one hundred selected objects ? glassware, lusterware, decorative tiles, ivory work, metal work, textiles, and more ? which were used to decorate mosques and palaces, representing sacred and secular culture.
