Artists look at the world and make it into art. Their approach to the world may be sentimental or aggressive. Or it may be a tentative exploration based on feelings of awe. The painters included in this exhibition include the French naive painters, Henri Rousseau and Camille Bombois; Shiro Kobori, a Japanese Western-style painter who remained almost entirely unknown during his lifetime; and Tatusoki Nanbata. Through their work we focus on the unique relationship between artists and the world.
