Taiji Kiyokawa: Pictures and Words

Overview

Taiji KIYOKAWA (1919-2000) developed a unique world of abstract painting focused on exploring color planes and lines, free from the constraints of depicting specific forms. He also wrote about art and his own works in a way that conveys his distinctive artistic views. This exhibition presents paintings alongside quotes from KIYOKAWA, showcasing his art through the two media of “pictures and words.”
