Setabi Channel vol.24: Interview with Luca Veggetti: on the performance "Anatomy of the Dream: Shojo-midare" at the Setagaya Art Museum (with Japanese subtitles)

Setabi Channel vol. 24 presents "Interview with Luca Veggetti: on the performance "Anatomy of the Dream: Shojo-midare" at the Setagaya Art Museum. This interview was conducted by Miki Tsukada, curator and producer of the performance project that transformed the museum into a Noh stage at night.

In October 2021, Luca Veggetti, an Italian-born director and choreographer with a deep knowledge of Japanese culture, directed the Noh play "Shojo-midare" in the entrance hall of the museum. This work, which was a great surprise and inspiration to the audience, is now available as a video work entitled "Anatomy of the Dream: Shojo-midare".

The interview was conducted on September 24, 2021, before the rehearsals. The keyword for the project, which has been prepared over the years while the Covid-19 disaster was spreading everywhere on the earth, is "imagination to see the invisible”. Vivid documentary photos of the performance production are incorporated, and you can also enjoy many photos of Veggetti's other works. This is the first time that a video interview with Veggetti has been made available to the public, both in Japan and abroad.

Even if you have never seen Noh or visited our museum before, you may be drawn in by the director's quiet, passionate delivery and fascinating photographs. Please watch this interview before or after the video streaming, and enjoy the afterglow of the show.
