After finding beauty under the eaves of a thatched house, MUKAI Junkichi (1901–1995) devoted the latter half of his life to depicting these scenes. In addition to pictures of houses throughout the country, this exhibition includes scenes of natural beauty that the artist discovered at various travel destinations, such as an ancient road in Nara, and a plum orchard in Wakayama.
