Museum Collection I
“Two Artists Works” Series
Kobori Shiro and Murai Masanari

Overview

This exhibit deals with Kobori Shiro (1902-1998) and Murai Masanori (1905-1999), both of whom studied in Paris during the same era and pursued lives as painters. But while Kobori opted for a figurative approach, Murai chose abstraction. In the small display corner, we also present works by the sculptor Funakoshi Naoki (1953-2017), who died last year.
