Around 1980, painter KIYOKAWA Taiji began to design tableware and handkerchiefs for sale by the Seibu Department Store. He was also commissioned by Misawa Homes to design curtains and tapestries for Architecturally Designed Fixed Plan Home, and later, to design books published by the Misawa Homes Institute of Research and Development. This show illustrates how Kiyokawa brought his personal aesthetic to lifestyle-related designs.
