The Year 1986: The Opening of the Setagaya Art Museum

Overview

The Setagaya Art Museum opened in March 1986. By assembling a group of works that were made in the same year from the museum's collection of approximately 15,000 works, amassed over the last three decades, this exhibition sheds light on various artistic trends and social conditions of the era. A small corner will also be devoted to works by Kitaoji Rosanjin.
