Overview

YAMAGUCHI Katsuhiro (1928–2018) and KITADAI Shozo (1921–2001) were both part of the Jikken Kobo group, which is considered to mark the start of the postwar avant-garde in Japan. This exhibition, focusing primarily on the paintings Yamaguchi made in his later years and Kitadai’s kites, examines aspects of the Jikken Kobo artists’ later work.
