Miyamoto Saburo: Cities and Nature—Different Lights

Overview

This exhibition examines the distinct ways in which MIYAMOTO Saburo depicted light in his paintings of urban and natural settings. We hope to draw the viewer’s eye to the contrasting expressions of light seen in his neon-flooded city nightscapes, redolent of the urban swirl of energy and desire, and in his skillful representation of sunlight in all its rich variations from locale to locale in his outdoor landscapes.
